The Yuj Chapter

Yoga is an exercise for the body as well as the mind. We at The Yuj Chapter (TYC) would rather want to call it a holistic experience. Yoga is said to deal with the energy of the body and also enhance the unearthly, immaterial experiences. The word Yuj is the Sanskrit root word for the word 'Yoga'. It means 'to join' or 'to yoke' or 'to unite'. Yoga is said to have originated in India and involves physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation mainly to promote mental and physical well-being. When regularly practiced, Yoga can promote endurance, strength, calmness, flexibility and well-being. We always tend to associate the word Yoga with "Union' but it can also be associated with separation i.e. separating the real from the unreal, truth from ignorance, so on and so forth.
